Good luck! It seems like you have a great attitude going into it! Planning is super important. I know the hOMe video guide to building is super helpful. It teaches you some great things and gives you a nice overview of the building process. That being said I have family in all different trade industries and it's hard to beat having a helping hand (as you said you it would be hard to do it alone). Honestly I wish you the best and make sure you have your kids help you ;)
